The Classen School of Advanced Studies is a public magnet school located in Edmond, Oklahoma. Classen is divided into two separate schools: Classen SAS Middle School, serving grades 6-8, and Classen SAS High School, serving grades 9-12.

Middle School

Classen's middle school team first began competing in pyramidal quizbowl during the 2020-21 season. At the 2023 MSNCT, Classen SAS placed tied for 21st while captained by Sreekar Vajjha, who placed third in individual scoring.

High School

Classen won the Class A OSSAA State Championship in 1996. They sporadically competed in pyramidal high school competitions during the 2000s, but did not appear at another pyramidal tournament for over ten years after attending the 2011 OQBA Fall tournament. In the 2022-23 season, Classen began competing in a number of high school tournaments with a roster consisting largely of players from the middle school team playing up to the high school level (including Vajjha). That year, they would go on to place fifth in the large schools division of the NAQT Oklahoma State Championship. In the following year Classen found significant success, placing among the top 3 of every in-state tournament they played. The other 2 teams they competed for the title of "Best in Oklahoma" with being Morris and Yukon. Playing an excellent beginning-of-the-year tournament (With Vajjha being the top scorer) at the 2023 OUEFT Qualifier and ending in the 2nd place, and coming back to win the 2023 Cougar Qualifier with a shocking win over Yukon. They continued their success at other tournaments including the 2023 Murray State Aggie Qualifier, as well as an amazing run at the 2024 NAQT Oklahoma State Championship with their only losses coming to the eventual winners in Yukon and the runners-up Morris.

Non-Pyramidal

Recently in the 2023-24 Oklahoma school year, Classen saw its' return to the state-ran format, OSSAA State Championship. With Classen making their return to bad quizbowl in the same year they were causing a ruckus in the NAQT format for Oklahoma, they were a shoe-in for winning the 4A state title. Making it to the state tournament they lost by 1 point to eventual winners, Holland Hall. Moving to the loser's bracket they saw another close game, losing by 10 points in a tie-breaking question.
