Houston is a small public high school in south Missouri that won the 2022 MSHSAA State Championship in Class 3.

Due to growing enrollment, Houston moved up to Class 4 in 2023. Houston attended the 2023 SSNCT, where they earned the #4 card after going undefeated in their preliminary pool. They were the only team to defeat eventual champion Fair Grove, in a match coincidentally moderated by Missouri Quizbowl Alliance president Jeffrey Hill. Houston then lost the final winner's bracket game to Southwestern and their next game to Woodland to finish tied for fifth. The next week, the team finished in second place in Class 4 of the 2023 MSHSAA State Championship after losing a rematch against Fair Grove.

Houston hosts several tournaments each year, with annual Fall and Spring high school tournaments and at least one middle school tournament.
