Quizbowl Discord

The "Quizbowl" Discord server ("the Discord") is an unofficial online space for the nationwide quiz bowl community, especially the collegiate and open circuits.
The server has the vanity url "discord.gg/quizbowl". There is also an affiliate server specifically for high school students (discord.gg/CSRgz53).
History
The server was created in 2017 by Kevin Wang in an attempt to revive the community of the Quizbowl IRC channel by moving it to a more modern platform.[1] The server quickly overtook it in size and popularity and is now serves a similar role as the main space where people live chat about quiz bowl.
In March 2021, the server was made a Discord Partner.
In August 2022, popular demand for additional moderation and more intricate rules led to the appointment of Ganon Evans as the second admin for the server.[2]
