Wayzata Central Middle School is public middle school serving grades 5-8 that is located in Plymouth, Minnesota. Its quiz bowl program existed on and off throughout the 2010s, with many of its alumni going on to play for Wayzata High School. Currently, it is coached by art teacher Mickayla DeRuiter.

Wayzata Central rose to prominence in the early to mid 2020s. During the 2024 season, they took third in the Minnesota Middle School State Tournament and went on to play in the 2024 MSNCT. However, they performed poorly due to lack of sleep and confidence. In 2025, Wayzata Central A took first place in the SAPPHIRE Tournament hosted by St. Louis Park and their A and B teams won second and third place in the Minnesota Middle School State Tournament, respectively. Four of Central’s teams will go on to play in the 2025 MSNCT.
