Theodore Jasper "Ted" Gioia is a quizbowler at Harvard. With the graduation of Andrew Yaphe and Jerry Vinokurov, he is generally considered the best active literature player in the game. He was the head editor for KLEE, both incarnations of Harvard International, and the 2008 T-Party. He also was an editor for 2008 ACF Fall, 2009 ACF Regionals, and 2010 ACF Regionals. Ted entered an already decent northeast circuit on an already strong Harvard team and immediately turned heads and earned respect by scoring highly at several events. He is also known for his hatred of common link literature tossups and for his pompous, overzealous promotion of questions in hard tournaments on "important" subjects in the academic canon.

High School

Ted lead a high-level Gonzaga team, which, among other notable results, won 5th place at 2007 PACE NSC. He was also a two-time PACE all-star.

College

His time at Harvard has seen some notable victories, including several wins at sub-national events and high finishes at ACF Nationals 2009 and ICT 2009.
