PORTA High School is a public high school in Petersburg, Illinois, which is near Springfield. The school is named PORTA because it draws from the towns of Petersburg, Oakford, Rock Creek, Tallula, and Atterberry. It has been a successful team for many years and now participates in and hosts several tournaments each year. It is classified as Class A, the "small school" division, in the Illinois High School Association's (IHSA) State Championship Series.

PORTA enjoyed success under coaches Connie Davis and then Debbie Martin during the 1990s. Martin on occasion hosted the Masonic tournament and traveled with Team Illinois to PAC.

PORTA has enjoyed a recent resurgence under coach Mark Grant in recent years, including the 2008 IHSA State Championship. During the 2010-11 season, they won their Class A Tournament and place in the Regular Division at New Trier Varsity. Several PORTA students have been honored as part of the IHSSBCA All State Program in recent years, including Justin Brooks three times from 2009-11.

During the 2010-11 season, PORTA hosted an IHSSBCA Kickoff, Scobol Solo Mirror, Frosh/Soph Tournament (using an NAQT A Set), Class A Tournament (using an NAQT IS Set), and IHSA Regional and Sectional.
