ACE Quizbowl Camp is a summer program currently offering three different five-day sessions. ACE stands for Academic Competition Enterprises, and it has been running its camps since 1994. ACE currently is headed by J.R. Barry of Brookwood, Eric Huff of Dorman, and Elliott Rountree of Chattahoochee. Carlotta Wright of Riverdale was one of its founders and directors for many years, but she is now retired. The camps include classroom instruction, buzzer practices, and daily tournaments.
In 2011, the sessions are at Champaign/Urbana (IL), Milligan (TN), and Campbellsville (KY). This is the first year in Illinois.
ACE now posts study guides on its website and also has Facebook and Twitter feeds that publish a Quizbowl “Fact of the Day” (QBFOD).
