The Matt Cvijanovich Memorial Novice Tournament, or MCMNT, was an annual collegiate novice tournament held at Illinois in early spring, usually March. Its 2007 and 2008 incarnations were written and edited by the Illinois team; in 2009 and 2010 the tournament has been held as a regional mirror of the Minnesota Undergraduate Tournament. In fall 2010, Cvijanovich's name was dropped when the tournament merged with EFT; it remains unclear whether MCMNT as a separate event will return.

The 2008 MCMNT was used for the Saturday tournament of the first Weekend of Quizbowl, directed by Chris Ray and hosted at George Mason for high school teams.
