West Virginia State Championship

The West Virginia State Championship is a high school tournament ran by the WVACA. It is used to determine the official state champion of West Virginia.

A champion is crowned for each of two division: large schools (class AAA schools) and small schools (class AA and A schools).

A champion for each class was originally crowned, but due to a lack of AA teams, the A and AA fields have been combined since 2005. Since then, the overall champion has been determined by a single game between the A/AA champion and the AAA champion.

It was first run in 1993. Results from 1993 to 1999 are needed. It is run on NAQT questions.
