Morgan Venkus

Morgan Venkus is a former player for Loyola Academy and the University of Chicago. During the 2012-2013 school year, he "transformed from a really good Quizbowl player to one of the best in the nation" according to Harry White [1]. At the 2013 HSNCT, he played solo during the prelims, was the #3 overall prelim scorer, and qualified his team for the playoffs, finishing in 3rd place after his teammates rejoined him for Sunday. He led the Chicago team that took 2nd place at 2014 Oxford Open and was the lead scorer at the tournament, much to the displeasure of various vocal members of the British quizzing community, who took to Facebook to complain about being walloped by an 18-year-old.
