The whole segregation thing...doesn't the same thing happen in sports, where in football the NFL can't play the AFC (I don't know ANYTHING ABOUT FOOTBALL so don't kill me if I mess up league names or something) until the super bowl? And technically, if there are non-African American players on a HBCU team and African American players on a non-HBCU team then how is it really segregation? Understandable, considering most of the HBCU is African American and considering the schools' demographic, but still they have made a choice to make money in the Honda All-star whatever. If they want to not make that money (which every non-HBCU team apparently doesn't even get a chance at) to go to these non-CBI tourneys, then so be it. However, the whole accusation about CBI dumbing down their questions is an absolute joke. I read questions at the regionals for my school as a favor, and they were pathetic...I don't see how CBI can possibly dumb them down even more. You want HBCU to retain the chance for money that no one else is allowed to get as well as the privileges of the teams who don't get a chance at the money? And another thing, if you're talking about the trash tournaments, I don't think some people in HBCU would be interested (at least my friends wouldn't be) considering the last time I went to a trash tournament it consisted of (do not be offended) white boy rock/sci-fi/porn trivia. Sincerely, Bea
