>>Point 4: "Check the records -- there are schools >>that don't have winning records against Canadian >>schools that are still ranked in the Top 25." >The burden of proof is on you, since you attempt >to legitimate Canadian inclusion in the Top 25. >If you can find viable records of this occurring, >please let me know, and I'll retract this point. Ok, I looked this up on the Queens U web site: 3/98 - Queen's beat Cornell U twice in a tournament, including the finals. Cornell overall that year was 2-7 vs. Queen's, no idea who was on the teams. 10/97 - Queen's beat Penn State U A in the semifinals of a tournament. Queen's and PSU were 8-8 against each other that season, no idea who was on the teams again. In the 1998 Preseason poll, Cornell was listed on 14 ballots, Penn State 5, and Queen's less than 5. I think Eric Tentarelli and Matt Colvin both stopped playing that year too. Maybe this isn't enough to support Queen's being top 25, but the voting didn't reflect how the teams did against each other in the previous year. I can't find NAQT nationals results, so I can't answer your other questions yet. >I will recognize Canadian teams when I play them >or have actually heard of some of their players, >then I will rank them, provided they beat some US >opponents in the US game. Well, I suggest you drive up to one of their tournaments and play them. That will probably give you a good idea of how good they are. Hell, why don't you fly to England instead of making the Brits come over here all the time, and see if their teams are as wimpy as you think they are.
