Mr./Ms. Anonymous wrote: "1. There was sloppy editting, with lots of repeats i.e. Pepin the Short coming up 3 times." Not just Pepin the short, but plenty others. I editted that tournament (by myself) and really had no idea what I was doing. I take full responsibility that the questions were mostly crap. Not that there is any excuse when you undertake such responsibility, but at that time I was putting in 40+ hours between two "part time" jobs. It made editting take the back burner, or was relegated to the wee hours of the morning after my homework was done. So, the questions sucked. I've learned my lesson. ...and then this person wrote... "2. Some MAQT moderators drank during the tournament, going into various states of inebriation." I don't think that anyone was drunk. I think some people were just acting goofy. ...and his/her final line: "MAQT's DSHIT was practically insulting." I am really sorry that you felt this way. I honestly didn't intend for it to be that bad. But, please, don't hold it against the club. There are a lot of good people in the organization, and this tournament was run by me, and no one else (even the tequila was mine!). So, please don't let this negative experience ruin your idea of the MAQT, and I assure you that if I run the tournament next year, it will be ten times better. Sincerely, Maureen Smith Vice-President, MAQT
