The game at the high school and
college levels is fairly similar, at least in the DC
area. The questions are harder, and sometimes longer,
though.
However, methods for improvement, I
imagine, would be roughly the same at the high school and
college level, it's just the competition is tougher.
One thing I have done in practices is read a question
halfway through until there is a point where the player
ought to get it. Then, pause for a couple of seconds,
and force the person to think it through. That way,
middle-question clues become associated with answer fodder.
