I've not had the opportunity to respond to each message I wanted to individually, so here goes... 1) To Michael Davies: I put that "not speaking on behalf of Arkansas Quiz Bowl Team" stuff in so that people won't think I'm speaking on behalf of Arkansas Quiz Bowl Team. It is my opinion that if you don't put it in, then everyone and their dog will assume you to be speaking for the whole team and will take your comments and stereotype them and bash the whole team. I don't think it should be necessary, but obviously it is the cool thing to do, so I just had some fun with it. It is a moral obligation to the circuit, if anything. 2) To Jason Mueller: I'm not trying to brag on my team, but IMO, if Mizzou should be ranked, then Arkansas should be ranked as we're 2-1 against Mizzou this year and finished second at Route 66 and at Rollapalooza, both times with the same record as the team who won. Do I think we are one of the top 25 teams in the nation? Not necessarily... Obviously, neither does the vote, which hasn't favored us in the past even though we've won more than one tournament, and not on the junior-bird level. (Even when Mike Wehrman was here, we were never higher than 20 or so.) I'm not trying to take anything from your performance at OU, but judging from the past, I don't think that single performance is enough to warrant your team a top-25 ranking. Keep improving and demonstrating your abilities, and you'll get there. 3) To the people rambling about improving the circuit by writing questions for submission tournaments: If 100 teams show up at ACF Fall and (hypothetically) they are all "good little teams" and wrote packets, then what happens to the 85 or so packets that don't get used in the tournament? Or do all ACF Falls, Regionals, etc., plan on using every single packet used, resulting in an ubertourney of 100 rounds? Something is happening to those packets, and sometimes it is discouraging to work your butt off to write a packet only to see it go unused. (Not saying I've ever done it, but hypothetically...) Joshua Hill (you know what, I'm not putting it anymore; when I'm speaking on behalf of the Arkansas Quiz Bowl Team, I'll let you know.)
