ACF Fall Florida -- brief results

Twenty teams competed in the ACF Fall tournament held at UF
today. Despite my bad directions, FSU managed to find the site and
win the tournament, going undefeated (12-0). USF was 2nd, at 11-1,
losing 325-210 to FSU A in what was essentially the title match.
The top Div II team was FSU C, which placed 5th overall. Next in
Div II were Valencia CC A and Central Florida CC A.
The top Div I scorers were Chip Thomas of UNF B (102.78ppg thru
the opening 9 rounds), Nathan Freeburg of FSU A (80ppg), Rob Fernandez
of USF (72.22ppg), and Jeremy of UNF A.
The top Div II scorers were Amanda from FSU B, Amy Harvey from
Valencia A, Jessica from Big Poppa Luanda's Zulu Leprechauns, Oseirus
from FSU B, Amanda from ABAC, Dan from UNF A, and Caleb from CFCC A.
Winning the neg title in spectacular fashion was Nathan Freeburg,
with 32 thru 9 rounds, edging Thomas of FSU C (12) and Chip Thomas
(11).
Full stats and standings will follow sometime next week. My
thanks to all those who helped run the tournament ... Jeff Zahnen, who
did the scheduling ... JD Hutchinson and Chris, who handled some of
the logistics ... Mark Viola (with help from JD), who did all the
stats by hand (with remarkable efficiency) because of computer-related
trouble ... and all the moderators -- Dan Nordby, Rachel Nordby, Jeff
Zahnen, Michael Swick, Joe Grimes, Kelly Barone, Irena Li, Craig
Kelley, Nodya, Kevin Comer, PBCC's Tommy Minton, and any others I may
have missed. (Thanks also to scorekeepers Jake and Hugo.) And last,
my thanks to Kelly McKenzie for his skillful editing. All teams
seemed to have a good time, and the question quality was certainly a
big part of that. Bye.
