Illinois Novice Tournament - Team Results and Acknowledgements

The Thanks:

The 2002 Illinois Novice Tournament ran smoothly due to the help 
provided by a number of individuals: Josh Levit and Brandon Eilertson 
(CWRU), Sarah Mordan-McCombs and Stan Jastrzebski (DePauw), and Prof. 
Steve (IWU) for guest officiating; Jeremy Rasmussen and the USF team 
for the packet swap; Brent Henderson, Mike "Hairboy" Sorice, Paul 
Dynowski, Nick Rothfuss, Andrew Ullsperger, and Dave Werner from UIUC 
for staffing. Special thanks goes to Sudheer Potru for his 
substantial contribution to the editorial process.

Key: Ch An = Chicago the Anomie, ISU = ISU No-Talent Ass Clowns,
Ch Ag = Chicago the Agony

Because Michigan did not clear the field by two games, a playoff was 
required against Chicago the Anomie in the form of a best-of-three 
series, with Michigan having a one game advantage due to their 
record. Michigan won the playoff match 240-195 in a come from behind 
victory to win the tournament.
