I enjoy Mueller-bashing as much as the next person, perhaps more, since I have been on at least seven trips with him over the last three semesters, including rather notorious car rides to Chicago and Norman, OK. And I'm very annoyed at the way he basically said the rest of us on Mizzou's team were completely irrelevant, though I'm going to discuss the matter with him personally this week sometime. However, if you manage to make it past both the lack of people skills and the ego (both Herculian tasks, I know), Jason is a pretty nice guy. And, as much as I hate to stoke the aforementioned ego, he is the primary reason we had a strong showing at NAQT last spring and at Route 66 this fall. He aslo did a very respectable job running our high school tournament last month, his first. Do I think Jason is as good of a player as he thinks he is? Of course not. I have serious doubts that he'll single-handedly run rampant over a CBI field that will have Oklahoma, WashU, Rolla, and others that I'm too lazy to look up. It's going to be a tad more challenging than our campus tournament. But I do, for some bizarre reason, consider the guy a friend, and figured that someone ought to say something nice about him.
