IMPORTANT: Penn Bowl hotel

Unfortunately, for a number of reasons, including other events on 
campus and recent renovations, we are unable to secure anywhere near 
as low a group rate at the University City Sheraton as we have in 
years past.

Whereas last year's rate was approximately $100 + tax, the best rate 
I am able to obtain for this year is **$149 + tax**.

The one major benefit of the Sheraton is location; it is one of only 
three hotels within walking distance of the Penn campus, and it's the 
only one that gets four to a room.

To obtain the group rate, we need a minimum of 10 rooms.

If you are willing to reserve rooms at the Sheraton at this rate, 
please send an e-mail to <pennbowl_at_...> ASAP with your school 
and the number of rooms you would be willing to reserve.

If I receive reservations for at least 10 rooms by Monday, I will go 
ahead and reserve the block on Tuesday. If not, I will endeavor to 
find a lower rate at another hotel in the area, although it will most 
likely be in Center City, which would require that you either drive 
or take some form of public transportation (bus, trolley, or taxi) to 
the Penn campus.

My sincerest apologies on not being able to secure a better rate at 
this time.
