Two good ones. 1. At CBI Regionals at Prince George's CC in 1997, we found a piano in the center where the tournament was held. Mike (our resident music whiz) sat down and played the fight song (to which we pretty much all sang along). We had fun, and continued to do it a few times. The next day, we realized that every time we sang the fight song before a match, we won - every time we didn't,we lost. 2. As a good-luck charm the next year, I requested a tourism packet from Dallas and brought it along - unopened - to Pittsburgh. We were undefeated the first night - then one of our team members saw the packet and opened it to take a look. I firmly believe that if the packet had not been opened, we would have won. --- In quizbowl_at_yahoogroups.com, "Jason Mueller" <jcmpn7_at_m...> wrote: > Are there any superstitions that players and/or teams have?
