Maybe it's a little tangential, but while on the subject (if only
briefly) of Georgia Tech tournaments, I'd like to ask about how one
goes about attending ACF Nationals-- I've never been to ACF
Nationals, and I've heard all kinds of things about qualifying, some
of which are 1: There is no qualification process, teams simply
announce they're coming, write a packet and come, 2: There is a
limited qualification procedure involving the teams that performed
well at Regionals and teams that want to show up; if there's low
space, the teams that got drubbed at Regionals are not allowed to
play, 3: Despite there not being an invitation list, it is expected
that only the better (how is "better" determined?) teams will come.
Is it really possible to get pounded at Regionals and still play at
Nationals? What about just plain not attending Regionals, and then
deciding to play at Nationals? I'm not saying anything about the
plans of my team, or saying we'd make it, just asking how it works.
Is one of the above close to the true procedure?
