UF College Bowl will be holding their Spring High School Tournament on Saturday, March 22nd, 2003. Below is a copy of the tournament announcement: ----------------------------------------------- The University of Florida College Bowl Team would like to extend an invitation to your school to compete in the University of Florida Spring High School Academic Tournament on Saturday, March 22nd, 2003. Currently, the tournament will be capped at 24 teams, but the cap will be lifted if enough extra teams show interest. Schools can register as many teams as they wish. Registrations will be accepted on a first come, first serve basis. The tournament format will tentatively consist of a divisional Round Robin with playoffs. Check-in will be on the first floor of Matherly Hall starting at 8:00 am, and a light breakfast will be provided. After a brief welcome meeting, rounds will begin around 9:30 am. After a break for lunch, competition should end around 6:00 pm. The registration fee will be $80.00 per team with the following adjustments: $10.00 discount per fully functional buzzer system, $25.00 additional if you wish to purchase a copy of all the rounds used in the tournament and a minimum fee of $50.00 per team. The questions will be printed and collated for your use in future practices. The deadline for registration is Wednesday, March 5th, but early registration is recommended. Registration may be faxed or mailed to us. Either the actual check or proof of purchase is acceptable. All payment information is on the enclosed page.
