I'll second this. The packets were pretty consistent in difficulty
between rounds, which is quite impressive considering the
heterogeneous sources from which they were produced and the late
arrival of several packets. Another lovely feature was the good
balance between fairly hard questions on well-known subjects and
questions on more obscure topics. For instance, there were a bunch
of Shakespeare bonuses, including some on the more famous of his
plays, that I would guess were not thirtied uniformly as can easily
happen. So, congratulations to Joon (and to the rest of the Stanford
club, who ran the tournament quite smoothly).
