I fully agree with this, all six of the D1 teams we faced yesterday
made for in-game play to be an enjoyable experience. I'd also like
to commend Matt Larson and Paul Nelson for being excellent
moderators/officials yesterday, that contributed greatly to improving
the, what I will diplomatically call, "experience" of the Heartland
SCT. I hope NAQT seriously takes into consideration any comments or
complaints it has or will receive about this tournament, especially
as we have a new issue I wasn't aware about at the tournament, this
grad-undergrad D2 team from WSU? Does this mean their matches have
to be forfeited? Did the TD allow this to happen from the outset of
the tournament (when we filled in rosters before play)? I don't want
to start another flame war, but exactly how much competence is
required of an SCT host?
