Hi everyone, The University of Pittsburgh Quiz Bowl would like to announce that it'll be hosting Ironhead Invitational III on Saturday, March 29, 2003. This event is a Trash tournament that will mirror the other Ironhead events. It will be held in the Cathedral of Learning, the tallest educational building not located on the Vorobyevy hills, and home to the vending machine that is one of only two known sources of Snyder's of Hanover "Coney Island Hot Dog and Mustard" ruffled potato chips (the other being a rest stop on Interstate 79 in West Virginia). Individual prizes will be largely drawn from our collection of useless and undesirable books. Prizes may include a collection of the teachings of Joseph Smith; the novelization of "Honey, I Blew Up the Kid"; a self-published book about the Danish town of Thy's attempt to become the site of a United Nations University; a field guide to house plants; and a bottle of 70-proof almond liquor (actually imitation almond extract from the dollar store, which oddly enough doesn't card). Mmmm, benzaldehyde. PACKET SUBMISSION ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ All packets should be submitted to ironhead_quiz at yahoo dot com.
