The 2003 Flower City Invitational was held on March 1, 2003, on the
campus of the University of Rochester in beautiful Rochester, NY. A
total of eight teams from six different high schools showed up for
the competition. After the initial round-robin, the standings stood
as follows:
1. McQuaid Jesuit High School, 7-0
2. Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy A, 6-1
3. Greece Arcadia High School, 5-2
4. Livonia High School, 4-3
5. Candor High School, 3-4
6. Northwest Pennsylvania Collegiate Academy B, 2-5
7. Webster High School, 1-6
8. Greece Arcadia High School B, 0-7
The top four teams then advanced to a single-elimination playoffs.
In the first round, McQuaid Jesuit defeated Livonia 195-165 and
Greece Arcadia A defeated NWPCA A 205-160 to advance to the finals.
In the finals, McQuaid Jesuit defeated Greece Arcadia A 230-145 to
win the first Flower City Invitational.
