Press Information: For Immediate Publication March 7, 2003 2nd Annual Game Show Congress Las Vegas, NV – Sat, July 12th, 2003 Top Three Winners in Game Show History To Appear at the Second Game Show Congress Olmstead and Toutant, winners from "Who Wants To Be A Millionaire" and Legler, winner on "Twenty-One" slated to appear Dr. Kevin Olmstead, Mr. Ed Toutant, and Mr. David Legler are slated to appear at the Second Annual Game Show Congress (GSC2) being held Saturday, July 12th, 2003 from noon until 9 p.m. at the Hampton Inn Tropicana, 4975 South Industrial Road, Las Vegas, Nevada. The event is free and open to the public, subject to registration. Dr. Olmstead, an environmental engineer from Michigan, established the largest dollar amount of television game show winnings in April 2001. While appearing on ABC's "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire," Dr. Olmstead won $2.18 million. In September 2001, Ed Toutant, a computer product planner from Texas, won the second highest amount to date, $1.86 million. Mr. Toutant had first appeared on "Who Wants to Be a Millionaire" in January 2001, at which time he was ruled incorrect on a $16,000 question, a question that was later was revealed to be a faulty. Both Dr. Olmstead and Mr. Toutant appeared during a period when ABC added a bonus each day that there was not a million dollar winner. Mr. Legler, a former Naval submarine lieutenant, won six consecutive matches, for at total of $1.765 million, on NBC's revival of "Twenty-One". Mr. Legler was the all time leading winner as of February 2000 until the time of Dr. Olmstead's win, and remains the third overall money winner. Dr. Olmstead will conduct a multimedia presentation "Top Ten Most Frequently Asked Questions about the Millionaire Experience" and Dr. Olmstead, Mr. Toutant, and Mr. Legler will join a panel of successful contestants who will interact in a question and answer session with those in attendance.
