Well it appears my inclusion of a clause specifying that we might not hold the tournament has done more harm than good, giving the impression that I was going to cancel at any time. I can now safely say that--barring multiple teams canceling--I will no longer worry about having to cancel. In short, I feel the field is sufficient. I do have to apologize to everyone for leaving something out of the original announcement, eligibility. It was my intention to run this as an open tournament. As such, masters and chimera teams would be welcome. I do intend to run the tournament this way, but I understand that my previous omission can be construed as some sort of 'foul play.' If for some reason those teams that are signed up for our mirror are adversely affected by the open status of the event (i. e. you can't get funding if it isn't student-only) please contact me (pwtomlinson at msn dot com) ASAP.
