There are both good and bad reasons to criticize a tournament.
One possible way in which anonymous criticism is bad is if one is in
a position where being identifiable puts one in an awkward position,
such as being one intimately tied to the organization running the
tournament or writing the questions. Or, the author may be a
polarizing personality whose mere name would detract from the
intention to start the debate.
On the other hand, anonymity can have its drawbacks. Some would be
inclined to ignore anonymous commentary because the author could be a
someone who did not even attend the tournament and making comments
based on second-hand knowledge and personal bias. Or perhaps that
person is just a craven individual.
