Okay, here's the deal. There has been a lot of inter-team player swapping and a little confusion on my part. Guess I need to be more organized in the future. So here's the drill, so far I have received packets from Athens State et al. and GT Alums et al. Send me an e-mail to my gt account (gtg500h at mail dot gatech dot edu) including the following information: TEAM NAME (witty, insulting, or otherwise) TEAM MEMBERS (all of the ones you have as of right now) CONTACT (the guy on the team I'm e-mailing when I need something from that team) WHETHER YOU INTEND TO SUBMIT A PACKET OR NOT MODERATOR (if you're bringing a moderator or not. right now it's looking like I won't need any outside moderators) If you are a free agent, send me an e-mail telling me as such and I'll see what I can do. Right now we've solidified one free agent team, but if enough people are free agenting I can probably pull together another one. Also, some information to dissiminate: *This saturday is the $15 packet discount. Next saturday is no penalty. Two saturdays after that is the final deadline to submit packets. *The tournament will be one day, June 28, barring an incredible blunder on the part of GT space reservation. (However, should this happen, we may have to reschedule. Tech doesn't actually schedule reservations until after all the summer classes are scheduled.) *In the event of that blunder that I cannot repair, I'll reschedule to avoid the July 4th weekend, thus pushing the tournament to the second weekend in July. I'm only saying this because there is a non- zero chance that I'll have to, although I believe it to be HIGHLY unlikely. *If the list of teams I have is right, or close to right, at this point I'm willing to guarantee AT LEAST ten rounds of play (being round robin any more depends on the number of teams that show up). *Packets ARE ON SALE for $15 on CD format. Probably want to e-mail me about that too. *I'm at a point where I no longer need any more freelance packets. Sorry for those of you who waited too long. *The tournament announcement and a field update as I understand it (which is probably wrong) along with our scheduling is currently availabe at www.cyberbuzz.gatech.edu/quizbowl . Also available there are driving directions, transportation stuff, lodgings and maps. That's all I can think of for now. Thanks, Stephen Webb Tournament Director NATSSO I: Presumptuous Numbering
