That's certainly good to hear. This is one topic that I hope that I'm proved wrong about. If everybody is already remembering that the HBCU's exist, then I guess I don't have much to worry about. I just hope that more schools really do this, and it's not just UL- Lafayette. Once again, I wouldn't mind having people tell me that this is a non-issue since it's already taking place. > Also, many of these teams > are not actually part of a single quiz bowl club or student > organization at their respective schools, so as far as travel > expenses go, they usually rely solely on their own money or funds > from their school administration or SGA. If they can't afford to do so, then that's okay, even if it would be a shame. All that I've been trying to do is to ask people to try to remember when they are inviting teams to their tournaments that the HBCU's do exist and that they do play quizbowl, although usually not on the general circuit. It's something that hasn't come up in a while, and I felt was worth bringing up again, just to bring it back into the public consciousness. Michael Adelman University of Rochester
