After feedback from interested teams, we have officially set the date for Sunday, October 19th, 2003, at Loyola's Lake Shore Campus. It will be held in conjunction with Northwestern University's Midwest Mirror of the Princeton PriCK tournament, which is on Saturday, October 18th, 2003. If you're already signed up for PriCK, consider extending your quiz bowl weekend one more day and driving twenty minutes down Sheridan Road into the beautiful and exciting city of Chicago, Illinois. "LUC, I Am Your Father" is a round-robin, packet-submission tournament which is open to all pre-baccalaureate students up to their fifth year of college or university studies and a maximum of ONE graduate or adult player per team. It is designed to be accessible to undergraduate TRASH players and TRASH players who are just starting out. Undergraduate players will be asked to present a valid college or university ID before playing. Mixed-school affiliation teams are permitted as long as all players meet eligibility requirements. Players of all schooling levels will be allowed to participate in Northwestern's PriCK Mirror, which is an open academic tournament. Difficulty level for "LUC, I Am Your Father" will be between TRASH Follow That Junior Bird and TRASH Regionals. Question distribution for the packets will be identical to that of the packets for Viva Trash Vegas, and will be re-posted shortly. Fees are as follows: $70 base fee -$5 for a working set of buzzers (limit one per team) -$10 for a competent game official -$10 for teams traveling over 400 miles -$5 for early packet submission Minimum: $40 Packet deadlines are as follows: Early submission deadline: September 21st Official submission deadline: October 5th A $5 penalty will be incurred by all registered teams who have not submitted a packet by October 5th.
