I probably saw something more impressive than
this in a dozen years of h.s./college quiz-bowl but
this is my most impressive recent memory:

SCT West at Berkeley, Round 13 (last round of a full
round robin), Caltech vs. Stanford A. Reading: Andy
Penner. Scoring: Yours truly. Final score: 485-210,
Caltech. What impresses me about this is that Andy read 25
tossups *and 25 bonuses* -- I'm convinced that this is a
record for most tossups heard in a game where every
tossup was converted.
