Ack......the stupid computer ate my second post....
I'll keep it short.
Basically, I wanted to explain why--at least for UCI--it is difficult to
attract and retain new QB players:
1. We are a commuter school. Most people do not stay on
campus to do stuff. People go home on weekends instead of
going to QB tournaments.
2. The heads of our Campuswide Honors Program don't care
about student organizations. They ignored our repeated request
to advertise our program.
3. We don't have quite the select "gene pool" as other colleges
in the state, and we have a hard time staying competitive.
4. Our graduate school programs do not attract QB players from
around the nation.
5. Nobody here cares about QB. Even when the school offered
CBI Intramurals (with a $500 jackpot for winning) the turnout is
very low.
Ross--if you have more issues to iron out, please e-mail me
privately.
