Yale will be hosting our annual collegiate tournament, Bulldogs over Broadway, December 6, 2003. Teams will submit packets of 24 tossups and 24 bonuses, according to the following distribution: History 4/4 Literature 4/4 Science/Math 4/4 (History of Science should not account for more than 1/0 or 0/1) Fine Arts 3/3 Religion, Mythology, Philosophy 3/3 Social Science 2/2 Trash 1/1 Extras 3/3 (Can be multidisciplinary questions, general knowledge, current events, or up to 1/1 more of any other category) Notes: Within distribution categories, questions should be geographically, temporally, ethnically, subjectively, stupendously diverse. No two part, 15/15 bonuses. On 30-20-10 bonuses, the 30 point clue should not be impossible, nor should the 10 point clue be ridiculously easy. Packet Deadlines: October 25: -$30 November 1: -$20 November 8: -$10 November 15: 0 November 23: +$20 November 30: +$40 **Special Discount for Best Packet: -$15 (As determined by tournament officials) NO packets will be accepted after November 30th under any circumstances. Packet will only be counted as received when a COMPLETE, ACCEPTABLE packet has been sent. Packets that do not conform to the above guidelines will be returned. Freelance packets would be tremendously appreciated. As compensation, we will offer all the tournament packets and an almsot embarrassing amount of gratitude. If you are bringing a young B team that does not want to write a packet, let us know ahead of time so we can try to make special arrangements. However, we can make no guarantees.
