Good morning,
Now that all of the ACF Fall tournaments have concluded, I'd like
to take a moment to give a shout out to people deserving thanks for
their efforts in making the tournament possible. First of all, thanks
to all of the host programs, as well as those of you who helped them
by moderating, scorekeeping, calculating stats, etc. Thanks to Carol
Guthrie and the gang at Michigan (Zeke, Ben, Matt, and Paul) for
contributing invaluable blind questions, and to the people who helped
catch some of the mistakes that slipped through the editing process,
especially Adam Fine, who went over all 16 rounds and provided much
valuable feedback. I suppose I should also thank the manufacturers of
Mountain Dew for producing more caffeine than one body should ever
ingest, but I doubt any of their representatives are reading this.
Finally, since I'm doing this at 9 in the morning, I'll include the
cliched Academy Awards-style cop-out and thank anyone I might be
forgetting. I think this year's version of ACF Fall turned out very
well, and it would not have been possible without the efforts of
everyone who contributed.
Thanks,
Kelly
