I don't think the point is that there is a new TD so much as an old member of the team has allegedly intentionally spread misinformation which could lead to hurting the team by having nowhere near the level of business they're used to. Hypothetically if this is accurate what should he do? If there is sabotage then that is a BIG problem, one even the most unflappable TD would he hard pressed to not be flustered by. One thing that I did with the previous TD before me was brought her in and asked her to give me all contact information from afilliate organizations so that you may call and explain to those organizations that there is a new TD. Also publicize the new TD. > > Dan > > Alex Metcalf <alexmetcalf_at_h...> wrote: > Anyone who read the previous post has probably surmised that there is a serious problem at Texas A&M. A former member of the Academic League here has been contacting high school teams and telling them our tournament is cancelled. Because of his former position as tournament director in previous years, this has caused us grievous harm. I was wondering if anyone had experienced any problem of this nature in the past and if there were any suggestions to deal with it. I realize that the primary offender, Chris Romero, is a well known and respected member of the community. I hope that you do not allow this to cloud your judgment as his actions of sabotage are completely reprehensible to anyone who has ever tried to run a tournament. We would appreciate anything you might suggest that could help us resolve this situation. And I again apologize to anyone who has been inconvenienced by this matter. > > Alex Metcalf > Vice President > TAMU Academic League > > [Non-text portions of this message have been removed] > > > Yahoo!
