Announcement: 2004 NAQT Southwest Sectional

The 2004 NAQT Southwest Sectional Championship Tournament will be 
held on February 7, 2004 in sunny Fayetteville at the Walton College 
of Business on the campus of the University of Arkansas. Sign-in will 
begin at 8:30 a.m., with play to begin at 9:00 a.m.

The tournament will follow NAQT official rules and tournament format 
and will be timed. Each team will be guaranteed eleven games, and 
there will be separate competitions for Division I and Division II. 
Awards will be given to the top Division I, Division I Undergraduate, 
and Division II teams, as well as the top players in Division I and 
II. Ties in rebracketing and final standings will be broken at the 
buzzer, which is the way it should be.

Tournament fee structure:
Base fee for first team: $120
Base fee for second and subsequent teams: $100
Buzzer discounts: -$10 per fully functional set
Moderator discounts: -$25 per competent, full-time moderator
Scorekeeper discounts: -$10 per competent, full-time scorekeeper
Minimum fee per team: $60

Teams from schools that have never sent a team to an NAQT Sectional 
or Intercollegiate tournament will be allowed to play for the minimum 
fee of $60.

Copies of the questions for the tournament (eighteen rounds total) 
will be available after the tournament for $25.

31, 2004. A registration with payment received before this date 
merits an additional $10 discount (minimum fee still applying). 
Details on early payment are available upon registration; please let 
the tournament director know by e-mail to expect payment.
