Greetings, again, There have been a few additions and changes to the field since my last update, though not as many as I'd like to see. Here is the field for the NAQT Southwest SCT, at the University of Arkansas's Walton College of Business in sunny Fayetteville: Division I: Oklahoma 1-2 Texas A&M Grad Texas A&M Undergrad Rice (Undergrad) Truman State (Undergrad) Texas-Austin Division II: Missouri-Rolla 2-3 Tulsa Oklahoma State 2-3 Oklahoma 1-2 Southwest Missouri State Truman State 1-2 Texas-Dallas 1-2 Texas-Austin Wichita State Louisiana-Lafayette 2 Kansas Teams showing interest in Division II: Texas A&M Undergrad Louisiana State Ole Miss Rice To the teams that have replied to me since my last update, thanks much for your swift responses! You make my life much easier. To the teams still uncertain on their presence or their number of teams, it is requested that you please let me know ASAP, but definitely before the registration deadline (Friday, January 31 at 11:59:59 p.m.) If I don't receive a definite number, I will assume the higher number of teams and then consider any absent teams as non-emergency no-shows (who are liable for the full registration costs). There is still a possible ten-team deviation in the size of the field, which means I have to wait longer to start planning schedules, room assignments, etc. Again, please let me know something sometime in the month of January; if it's February when you e-mail me, you will be late. Also, let me know in advance whether you want to buy the questions from the tournament ($25 for Division I, $25 for Division II, $50 for both). All this information and more, plus the original announcement and fee structure, can be found at http://www.angelfire.com/ar3/bucktowntiger/naqtswsct2004.html . During the tournament, I plan to have live stats updates posted on this webpage as we progress. It worked fine for ACF Fall; maybe it will work here too. To register or update your entry, or if you have any questions, e- mail me at jdh22 AT uark DOT edu (jdh22_at_...). Thanks for reading, and I'll see a lot of you in a couple of weeks, Joshua Hill Head Tiger In Charge 2004 NAQT Southwest SCT
