If you would like to come to either (or both) mirrors, please contact Andrew Juhl (dr_pookman_at_yahoo,com). Tournament director(s): UIAQC (mirror) = Andrew Juhl (dr_pookman_at_yahoo,com) USF (actual BB4) = Rob Fernandez (gamaliel8_at_...) Fees: First team: $50 Second team: $40 Third team: You get the idea Buzzers: -$5 for each Minimum registration fee: $25** Packet guidelines: 22 tossups and 23 bonuses 3-4 TV (no more than 2 from the same decade) 3-4 Film (no more than 2 from the same decade) 3-4 Music (no more than 2 from the same decade) 3-4 Sports (no more than 2 from the same sport or decade) 3-4 Trash Literature (including at least one tossup and one bonus on comic books or strips per packet) 3-4 Misc. (computer games, board or role playing games, food, drink, trash current events, etc., anything that doesn't fit the other categories) Try to avoid dry questions which are primarily someone's résumé (i.e. "This person was born here, grew up here, went to school here, won this award no one's heard of...") unless those facts are distinctive or interesting. Visual bonuses are strongly encouraged. If you have a question which requires something other than paper to pull off, run the idea by us, and if it's cool and remotely feasible, we'll probably do it. Freelance packets: We want them. We'll give you a free set of BB4 questions. Last year's tournament was 11 rounds, so you get plenty of trash. We can also bribe you with academic packets from our other tournaments, beer or other potables, or some of our less useful players. *mirroring the University of South Florida **unless you submit a packet, then we'll go lower ++Andrew Juhl, Pres. UIAQC
