TRASH is pleased to announce the return of the (somewhat misnamed)
TRASH Junior Bird tournaments. These tournaments are aimed at novice
trash and undergraduate teams and will focus on more on popular
culture from the past five to ten years (but not exclusively so).
The tournaments will occur on any of the first three weekends in
October at the discretion of the tournament hosts, who will follow up
with site-specific announcements at their leisure and are free to
make a full weekend combined with an academic tournament.
The following schools are hosting a TRASH Junior Bird:
Berkeley (Contact Paul Lujan, plujan at socrates dot berkeley dot edu)
Tulane University (Contact Jason Horn, jhorn2 at tulane dot edu)
University of Iowa (Contact Andrew Juhl at dr_pookman at yahoo dot
com)
Case Western Reserve University (Contact Jeff Hanson, jeffrey dot
hanson at case dot edu)
Duke University
Colorado University
If you are interested in attending, contact the above. If you are
interested in hosting a Junior Bird that will not conflict
geographically with any of the above or if you wish to submit
freelance questions (for zero monetary compensation), contact me,
Anthony de Jesus at quizbowlpostmodernist at yahoo dot com.
