I'm a bit confused by the designation Winter "Open," though not
specifically because of its use in this sense (COTKU "Open" has
sometimes not really been Open, but Chicago Open, Illinois Open,
etc, are). Does ATC mean that you don't have to have an
institutional affiliation to play? It appears that this is a
tournament aimed at younger players, but I just want to make sure.
Regardless, I'd like to wish the best for these events, and hope
that they do become a yearly enterprise.
