Georgia Tech MLK Weekend Tournament

Folks,

I am pleased to announce that Georgia Tech will be hosting its third
installment of the resurrected MLK Weekend tournament, this time on
MLK Weekend, Saturday, January 15. The tournament will again be house
written, by myself, but if teams planning to attend wish to submit a
freelance packet (and only teams planning to attend are extended this
offer) they will be compensated with a tournament set. If you are
interested e-mail me for the distribution.

WHERE: The Georgia Tech Instructional Center, the usual place for
tournaments. Driving directions will be available on the website
(cyberbuzz.gatech.edu/quizbowl)

WHEN: Saturday, January 15. Registration will begin at 9 AM in
Tannenbaum Auditorium, with rounds starting around 10.

ELIGIBILITY: The tournament is a Division I and Division II
tournament. If the field is sufficiently large, then we will split
them, otherwise it will be a mixed field.

FEES:
$90     Registration Fee
-$10    Buzzer Discount
-$10    Travel Discount (400+ miles of driving as MapQuest declares)
-$5     Everybody on the team is attending their first GT tournament

Checks should be made payable to the Georgia Tech Academic Team.
