12 Division I and 8 Division II teams showed up at the University of
Maryland today for the 2005 NAQT Mid-Atlantic Sectional.
The division 1 teams played a full round robin followed by a split 6-6
round robin, and the div 2 teams played a double round robin.
Congratulations to all of the following:
- Virginia Commonwealth University, who went 14 - 2 en route to the
Division I and Division I Undergrad titles. Matt Weiner was also the
leading scorer, averaging ~118 ppg. Princeton University took 2nd.
Robert from Georgetown Law and Jason Keller from Rutgers - New
Brunswick were the 2nd and 3rd leading scorers.
- Swarthmore took the Division 2 title, going an undefeated 14-0.
Wren of Swarthmore was the leading D2 scorer, averaging over 90 ppg.
Mike from Virginia was 2nd, and Akshay from Johns Hopkins was 3rd
leading scorer.
Thanks to all who made the trip, and to all the MAQT alums,
volunteers, and the brothers of Alpha Phi Omega for their assistance.
