Yes, I'm a loser. On the other hand, you're the one who's reading this. :-) More seriously, no offense intended. I'm doing this round-by-round. Teams listed below advanced. East I - Harvard, UMass, South Carolina, Iowa Best Game - UMass 210-200 (OT). BU, with a lead of 205-155, accidentally answers Bill Butler instead of Buckner. UMass answers immediately, powers, 30s, and ends BU's stay by answering _Loki_. East II - Penn State, Pitt, Columbia, Maryland Pitt edges Florida 200-190 in a close game that never sees one team lead by more than 25. Midwest I - Illinois, UCLA, Texas A&M, UT-Chattanooga Duke never gets in a groove as the Mocs build a big early lead, then coast to the finish 235-205. Midwest II - Stanford, Minnesota, Pennsylvania, Georgia Tech Wichita State leads and South Alabama trails by 5 at the half until the Cardinal and Gophers wake up. South I - Michigan, Virginia Tech, Kentucky, Cornell VT, Kentucky, and Cornell all fiddle with strange mixes of CBI and ACF before winning close games against teams whose skills are much different than theirs - leading to numerous runs of fifty or more. South II - Yale, Northwestern, Virginia, Texas All four coast. West I - Cal, GWU, Wisconsin, Georgetown Georgetown and GWU both power "cherry blossoms" to win close matches. West II - Princeton, GMU, Oklahoma, Rutgers Rutgers, desperate to stay out of New Jersey, wins by forty. The other three games aren't close.
