Williams College, in the scenic Berkshires of Northwest Massachusetts, is proud to announce that this upcoming fall we will revive our defunct, packet-submission Open trash tournament, Lemur Bowl. Lemur Bowl will occur this upcoming October 29th, 2005, two weeks prior to TRASH Regionals/ACF Fall. All teams, affiliated with a college or otherwise, are welcome to attend. Packets: All teams attending will be required to submit a packet 24 tossups and 24 bonii; however, if inexperienced teams would like to apply to have the packet requirement partially or entirely waived, e- mail me and we'll discuss it. Questions should be e-mailed to me, organized by subject and not randomized. I would prefer if you sent questions in a Word file (.doc) as an attachment. You can send it as a .rtf or as a .txt file, if you can't send it as a Word file. For non-text files, answers should be underlined and bolded in 12-point Times New Roman or equivalent font. Tossups be 4-7 lines long in Word, should follow the usual rules about pyramidality and variety of subject matter. Bonii should all be worth 30 points and ask for between 3 and 6 answers from one to four prompts. Bonus parts should be two and half lines or less. Try not to have ordering or list bonii. The packets should be written with an UNDERGRADUATE audience in mind. That is, while you certainly should include questions about things that occurred before undergraduates were aware of popular culture, but such subjects should be accessible to an undergraduate trash player and not confer a large advantage to an older player who became interested in them when they were new to popular culture. Most things that fit this category will likely be "classics" of some sort. Distribution- TV: 3/3 Movies: 3/3 Music: 4/4 Sports: 4/4 Trash Lit.
