I wanted to post some well-deserved thank yous to the various people who helped make the sixth annual edition of F.O.G.H.A.T. not only possible but a success. Although I think I thanked everyone individually, as we were running an hour late on Saturday, I didn't get a chance to thank everyone publicly on Saturday and want to correct that here. First and foremost, thanks to all the competitors without whom there would be no reason to have a tournament. Oceans of thanks are due to Ben Lea, my co-executive producer who had a variety of duties including question writing, research assistance, editing, prize acquisition, moderating and generally keeping me from screwing up the tournament on Saturday. Ben not only drove and trained it all the way up from Rolla for the event, but made the ultimate sacrifice, namely missing seeing (although did hear) the first hour of his beloved White Sox in the World Series as the tournament went roughly an hour late than I had planned. Thanks are due to Brian Hight and Mark Richey who wrote many excellent questions for the set, did additional editing and provided excellent moderating and scorekeeping on Saturday. Thanks to James Quintong for so generously contributing an entire round to the tournament packet set. Thanks to Alexis Mansfield and Kevin Olmstead for doing an excellent job moderating on Saturday. Bonus points to Alexis for bringing muffins. Last but certainly not least, a million thanks to Northwestern's quiz bowl for hosting this year's FOGHAT. Several players helped out with set-up and scorekeeping throughout the day. Heaps of extra thanks to Justin Moles, who was my main contact in setting this up. He secured the various rooms we need and handled statkeeping on the day of the tournament. So in summary, Thanks, Jeremy White Tournament Director and Co-Executive Producer for F.O.G.H.A.T.
