Ok, I hate to sound like the squeaky wheel here, but... If I were a more cynical person, I might say that this is a very clever technique for ignoring feedback. I mean, people in the community have no idea what feedback is actually sent, or what anyone in TRASH thinks of said feedback. The soliticing of the survey is just a nice way to seem as though feedback is heeded. It's like the Seinfeld bit about the rent-car-reservation: JERRY: But the reservation keeps the car here. That's why you have the reservation. RENTAL CAR AGENT: I know why we have reservations. JERRY: I don't think you do. If you did, I'd have a car. See, you know how to take the reservation, you just don't know how to *hold* the reservation and that's really the most important part of the reservation, the holding. Anybody can just take them. Anyone can just take feedback. Anyone can just say that feedback is very important... So i guess my question is... will TRASH make the results of these surveys publically available? Will TRASH give us some insight to how their organization is responding or thinking about said criticism? Or are we going to be served up with a bunch of platitudes about how our feedback is very important to them? --- In quizbowl_at_yahoogroups.com, jdinan8271 <no_reply_at_y...> wrote: > > In the coming days, TRASH is going to release its first-ever *TRASH > Survey*. > > In the past, TRASH (Testing Recall About Strange Happenings) has > released surveys asking competitors about TRASHionals.
