Full details on these events will follow soon, but I wanted to confirm these dates as soon as possible (pending confirmation of room availability): 1a) UT-Chattanooga will once again host an open mirror of the NAQT High School National Championship. This will be open to all players -- high school, college, out of school -- except for high school teams that attended or qualified for the NAQT HS NCT. The tournament will be held on Saturday, June 24, and no packet submission is required. However, we will give significant fee discounts for this tournament for those who submit a round of original high school questions by that date. (Those questions won't be used till fall, but the principal editing will take place this summer.) 1b) We will also host the Summer Camp open trash tournament on Sunday, June 25, with your genial quizmaster Charlie Steinhice as editor-in-chief. Packet submission is expected, though there may be some room for non-packet teams at higher cost. 2a) On Sat., Aug. 19, we will host Muck Masters, another open trash tournament with packet submission expected. John Kilby will serve as editor-in-chief. 2b) On Sun., Aug. 20, we will host the Moc Masters open academic tournament. Again, packet submission will will be expected. This tournament will be edited collaboratively by the UTC program. As I noted above, full details will follow, but in the meantime send any questions to me at steinhic [at] bellsouth [dot] net.
