BASQUE 2006 was played at UC Berkeley on July 29 and 30, with various numbers of people participating in Chicago Open, Science Monstrosity, history singles, and trash. In CO, Berkeley and Stanford finished the double round robin 7-1 and 6-2, respectively, setting up a final in which Berkeley defeated Stanford 425-150 to claim the win. Jeff Hoppes easily triumphed in both rounds to claim the King of History belt, to no one's surprise. Finally, ten rounds of trash were played between two teams in a never-ending struggle. The two teams split their ten matches equally, and much enjoyment was had by all.
